October Update
I opened up the webstore about 3-4 years ago and built some violins and made luthier supplies.
Violins were slow to build and my instrument oil varnish couldn't be shipped worldwide so I had to re-tool.
I was steadily seeking perfection in my song writing and the techinal aspect of recording/performing etc. and was constantly tweaking my guitars.
I hand built several guitars a shredder and a single cutaway fixed bridge as well as modify my Strat and Kramer.
I had built my own winder based on the Thomas hand winding machine which was an improvement of the Schatten winder IMO.
I wound many sets of pickups and modfied the winder to give the best results and ease of winding. A bevy of robot parts, beams and eyelet guides to deliver a consistant wind from spool to bobbin.
I registered my store with the Texas Comptroller and began production on various models of Stratocaster models.
Mostly 5% progressive over-wound production year replicas but soon found there was a demand for Telecaster and Humbucker style pickups.
I had built my winder for such expansion and it was an easy transition.
My first few pickups were wound with commercial flatwork but I quickly bought a laser and began cutting my own products.
One to make a more personel pickups and to reduce costs as flat work could be bought in bulk. I then opened up to eBay to get and audience and to move pickups.
Which I have had good sales and manage to try to maintain 3-4 auctions at a time this while maintaing a website, recording and writing and holding a day job.
I since have expanded into winding humbuckers as well as Alnico 2 and hybrid pickups. Currently I have 7 Strat models 1 Tele model and 2 Humbucker models with plans for a third down the road. And innovation coming as the mood and need strike me.
